Highly sensitive children often need our help to turn their negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Reading positive affirmations out loud every morning can make a big difference to a child’s mindset whilst they prepare for the day ahead. Magnifying the Negatives
Highly sensitive children are deep thinkers. They notice the details. Hence they consider the what ifs. They contemplate what could happen in any scenario. And so there is a tendency to focus on the possible negative implications. And then magnify those negative thoughts.

Fear of Failure
Highly sensitive children are also often perfectionists. They have a deep fear of failure. For some children this fear is overriding and means that a child will not even start a task or project if they don’t believe they can carry it out without making any mistakes.

Mindset
