Regular readers of the blog will know that I am a huge fan of Big Life Journal. The idea behind all of Big Life Journal products is to promote growth mindset, to get your child thinking in a more positive manner. The negative thinking, focusing on mistakes and the perfectionism that are hallmark traits of many highly sensitive children make Big Life Journal printable, cards, science-based journals and podcast ideal tools. And so there’s exciting news for all fans – Big Life Journal has launched two sets of family cards: Dream and Sharing Joy.

Dream

The Dream cards are beautifully illustrated, each of the 52 cards prescribed with a positive message for the whole family. The idea is to inspire gratitude, kindness, resilience, and a growth mindset – for both children and adults in your family.

The cards come with a wooden stand so you can display the card prominently each day. The cards are discussion starters too. These affirmation cards can be used as part of a calming ritual (to both start and end the day). Calming routines are beneficial for every HSC, helping them to empty their buckets.

Sharing Joy

The Sharing Joy cards are conversation cards for the whole family. There are 125 unique questions on kindness, gratitude, growth mindset, friendships and other topics. In addition, there are 25 wildcards to add a touch of variety. My favourite part of these cards is that they will get children away from screens. For a little while, at least. The cards also aid communication skills within your family, as well as family connection.
