Support, Advice, Tips – We’re in This Together

The Happy Sensitive Kids (HSK) community is a wonderful group of parents and teachers who are raising and educating highly sensitive children. HSK is always looking for ways to help and support parents and teachers alike. This blog is full of advice, not just from my own personal experience (my sons are now 13, 15 and 17), but from your tips and experiences too. We’re in this together, because together, as a community, we can help each other.

What the Happy Sensitive Kids Blog is All About

If you browse through the HSK blog, there are stories, experiences and learnings related to raising highly sensitive children. There are gift guides, tips for sensory and calming tools, TV and movie tips for HSCs and great books to read to help you parent your HSC and books that are great for your child. There’s lots on schooling a HSC and how to help them with their big emotions, negative feelings and perfectionism. There’s a bucket activity to help you understand what overstimulates your child, and help you plan in enough downtime. There are HSK downloads to help your child to remember to take time to empty their bucket out. And there are two HSK books:

How to Raise a Happy Sensitive Child and 101 ways to help your highly sensitive child empty their bucket

And there’s the HSK Community, a safe place to ask questions, share your issues or successes. You, the community.

HSK in 2025

But there’s more to come. There are things going on behind the scenes and I hope to share much more with you this year. All with the aim of helping our HSCs thrive and not just survive in a world that is too loud and busy for them.

I am grateful for this community, for the ten years that Happy Sensitive Kids exists. As we hurtle into 2025, I would love to hear from you, from the HSK community – what do you need to help you parent your highly sensitive child? What would you like to see on the blog, or in the HSK Community? Let me know in the comments.
