Why Nature Works Wonders for Highly Sensitive People
The power of nature to calm is undeniable. Nature works wonders for highly sensitive people in particular. Get out into nature and empty your bucket!
Make the Most of Nature to Help Your Mood
Ever really considered the power of nature? The ability nature has to calm your soul? To empty your bucket?
Going out into nature is my family’s guaranteed bucket emptier. It’s the one thing that absolutely, definitely, without a doubt, works for us.
A wander about in all that nature has to offer calms our fraying nerves and empties overflowing buckets. Every time. Even when the kids are reluctant to get out from behind a screen. Or insist they just want to stay home. Once they are out in the woods they forget their reservations.

Highly Sensitive People Have an Affinity for Nature
A walk in a beautiful setting works wonders for most children, but in particular for highly sensitive children because they often have an affinity for nature.
Nature provides peace and quiet. It’s a haven for the senses.
Think of the sounds of the sea against the shore.
Smell the pine trees during a walk through the forest.
See the fun on your children’s faces when they spot deer and rare birds in the dunes. Or look at their smiles listening to birdsong.
Or the joy of simply watching the clouds.
Watch your children as they run around playing hide and seek behind the trees.
See how kids’ faces transform as they pick up sticks and have pretend sword fights.
Take the time to talk to each other as you stroll under the cover of the forest.
Scavenge for woodland treasures.
Recharge in the calming power of nature.
Over to You
