For those of you with children in Dutch secondary schools, ask about BOF training (Beter Omgaan Met Faalangst) for your child. Many schools recognise a fear of failure as a serious issue and will work with your child to help.

I used to set my son challenges to fail at something ‘safe’ – the only failures being to not try or to not fail!!
