Boys falling behind in reading is a worrying trend. In every study, every report, it would seem that boys fall behind girls.

Many boys go through a phase where reading ‘for fun’ is not a priority. There are so many other activities vying for their attention, of which gaming is probably top of the list.

However, starting early and instilling a love for reading from an early age can certainly help ensure the reluctance remains a temporary phase.
