Our Chill Tent

One of the things that is proving more and more important in our house, as my three boys get older and two of them are now at school full time, is a quiet place in the house where they can chill. Often they do not want to sit alone in their bedrooms but they do want some quiet time and space.

So my husband made the boys a tent. It is strictly a ‘quiet tent’ for reading, listening to music with headphones on, lying down and just chilling. It has twinkling lights and big cushions. It’s a safe haven – it’s a place where each other’s space and quiet is respected. And best of all? It doesn’t just work for children – it’s great for mama’s who need down time too…….

  9. That is a gift for the kids and for you! Such a great idea and so whimsical too! I would love to spend hours reading and just being quiet there if given the option as well.
